What is Large Text Mode?

Large Text Mode turns your screen into a large, high-contrast text display. Type or paste any text and it scales up to fill the screen — ideal for sharing messages across a room, displaying queue numbers, creating quick signage, or helping anyone who needs larger text to read comfortably.

The font size slider ranges from small heading scale up to about 1500 px, with left, center, and right alignment, and a light or dark background toggle. Use the Fullscreen button to fill the entire screen and the keyboard Esc key to exit; the page is responsive so a phone, tablet, or laptop all display the message at the chosen pixel size.

How to use

  1. Type or paste the text you want to display in the input field.
  2. Adjust the font size with the slider, and toggle between light and dark backgrounds for best contrast.
  3. Click 'Fullscreen' to display the enlarged text across your entire screen.

When to use

  • Showing a queue number or room name on a screen visible from across a hall.
  • Holding up a tablet with a message at a noisy gate or arrivals area.
  • Helping someone with low vision read a short note when reading glasses aren't around.

Result

A conference organizer types 'Registration - Room 204' into the tool, increases the font size to 120px, switches to dark background mode, and puts the laptop display at the entrance as a directional sign.

FAQ

Does fullscreen work on phones and tablets?
Yes on most modern devices. iOS Safari has limited support for the Fullscreen API; if the button has no effect there, rotate the phone to landscape and zoom out the address bar, the text will still scale to fit.
What's the maximum font size I can set?
Around 1500 px, which roughly fills a 4K monitor with a single short line. For very long sentences the text will wrap onto multiple lines so the whole message still fits the viewport.
Can I change the text color, not just the background?
Yes. There's a text color control alongside the background toggle, so you can pair, for example, yellow text on black for stage announcements or dark blue on cream for an accessibility reader.
Will the message stay if the screen goes to sleep?
Browsers don't block sleep by default. Set your device's auto-lock to a longer interval, or keep tapping the screen, so the message remains visible during the whole event or appointment.
Can I save the displayed text and reopen it later?
Yes. The Share link button copies a link that has your message and settings embedded, so reopening that URL or a bookmark made after typing brings the text back exactly as you left it. Adjusting the slider, theme, or alignment after copying creates a fresh link.
