What is QR Code Generator Phone?

Turn a phone number into a scannable QR code that starts a call, opens a text, jumps into WhatsApp, or saves a full contact. Supports international formats with country codes. Put it on business cards, store signs, service ads, or emergency contact sheets.

Pick the action — call, text, WhatsApp, or save contact — choose the country code, and type the number. The tool builds the right link (tel:, sms:, a wa.me URL, or a vCard) inside the QR. For a plain call, scanning prompts the dial pad with the number ready, one tap away. Adjust size and the quiet-zone margin, change foreground or background colour, raise error correction to H if you want a logo in the centre, add a 'Scan to call' caption frame, and download as PNG, SVG, or a centred A4 PDF for print.

How to use

  1. Enter the phone number with country code (e.g., +1 555-123-4567). The tool validates the format automatically.
  2. Customize the QR code: size, colors, error correction level, and optional center logo.
  3. Download as PNG, SVG, or print-ready PDF. Scanning prompts the phone to dial the number immediately.

When to use

  • Reservation cards in restaurants or salons for one-tap booking calls.
  • Plumber, locksmith, or taxi flyers slipped under doors and into mailboxes.
  • Service-vehicle decals and roadside signs where typing a number is unsafe.

Result

Restaurant reservation line +1-212-555-0199. Print the QR code on table tent cards so diners can book their next visit by scanning.

FAQ

Do I need to include the country code?
Strongly recommended. A tel: URI without country code only works for people in the same country as the dialer's SIM. With +1, +44, +966 etc., the code dials correctly from anywhere — important if the audience travels or the code lives online.
Will the phone start the call automatically when scanned?
No. iOS and Android both show a confirmation prompt first with the number visible. The user has to tap Call to actually dial. That's a deliberate safety step against malicious codes — and it's also why a clear context label near the code helps trust.
Can the QR code dial an extension or wait for IVR options?
Yes. Switch to Start a Call and use the Extension / Dial Pause field: the tool appends a pause and your digits to the number. A comma is a two-second pause, a semicolon waits for input. For example, 401 becomes tel:+18005551234,,401 — it dials, pauses, then enters extension 401. Support varies by handset.
Does the format with hyphens, dots, or parentheses matter?
The phone strips everything except digits and the leading +, so formatting is purely visual. We recommend writing the number how locals expect to read it — that way the prompt screen is recognisable, even though the device dials only the digits.
Can I encode both a phone number and a name in one code?
Yes — switch to Save Contact mode. It builds a vCard QR that carries the name, number, company, and email together, so a single scan offers to save the whole contact to the address book instead of just dialing.
