What is Video Slideshow Maker?
Video Slideshow Maker turns a set of images into a video slideshow with per-slide duration, captions, and transition effects. Add a slow Ken Burns zoom, background music, pick an aspect ratio, and export as MP4. Everything runs privately — your photos never leave your device.
Each image is held for its own duration (default or per-slide) then transitions to the next with a fade, slide, or hard cut. Type a caption under any slide to burn it onto the frame, and turn on Ken Burns motion for a gentle cinematic zoom. Background audio loops or trims to the total length and obeys the volume slider. Output is H.264 MP4 in your chosen aspect — 1920x1080 Landscape, 1080x1920 Portrait, or 1080x1080 Square — with images scaled to fit and letterboxed where needed. Drag thumbnails to reorder, then play a quick preview before you commit to the full export.

FAQ
- How many images can I add to one slideshow?
- Up to about 60 before the browser starts running out of memory. For longer slideshows, split into two and merge with the video merger. Image resolution also matters; 4K stills hit memory limits faster than 1080p ones.
- What happens if my music is longer or shorter than the slideshow?
- Shorter music loops seamlessly until the slides end. Longer music gets trimmed at the end with a quick fade-out so it doesn't cut off abruptly. To match exactly, set slide duration so the totals line up.
- Can I set different durations for each slide?
- Yes. Click the duration badge under any slide to give it its own display time, or use the default slider plus Apply to all to reset every slide at once. This lets you linger on key photos and fast-cut through fillers.
- Why do my portrait photos have black bars on the sides?
- You can now pick Landscape 16:9, Portrait 9:16, or Square 1:1 from the Aspect Ratio control. Images whose aspect doesn't match the chosen output still get letterboxed so nothing distorts. For social reels and Stories, pick Portrait; for Instagram feed, Square; for YouTube, Landscape.
- What image formats are supported?
- PNG, JPG, and WebP. HEIC files from iPhones need converting first (try the heic-to-jpg tool). Animated GIFs are read as a single frame, the first one, so convert them to a video clip if you need motion.
