What is 3D Product Showcase?
Upload a 3D model or product image and spin it around in a rotatable viewer. Great for showing off products from every angle without needing a physical sample.
Drop a GLB or GLTF model into the viewer (the same format used by Shopify, Sketchfab, and macOS Quick Look) or pick from four sample products to test the controls. Orbit with the mouse, zoom with the wheel, and pan with the right click. Adjust studio lighting intensity, change the background color, then snap a PNG screenshot at any angle for product listings or social posts.
How to use
- Upload a 3D model file (GLB/GLTF) or product image to load into the viewer.
- Rotate, zoom, and pan the model using mouse or touch controls. Adjust lighting and background color.
- Capture screenshots from any angle and download them as PNG images for your store.
When to use
- Generating product photos for an online store when you don't have a physical sample yet.
- Showing prototype designs to clients before committing to a manufacturing run.
- Embedding interactive product previews in a portfolio or pitch deck.
Result
An online store owner uploads a GLB file of a sneaker, rotates it to find the best 3/4 angle, adjusts the studio lighting to highlight the sole texture, and screenshots the result for their product listing.
FAQ
- What 3D file formats are supported?
- GLB and GLTF, the open standard backed by Khronos Group. Most modeling tools (Blender, Cinema 4D, 3ds Max, SketchUp) export to GLB directly. For .obj or .fbx files, convert them with a free tool like Blender or an online format converter first.
- Why does my model load but appear pitch black?
- The model is probably missing material data, or its normals are flipped. Increase the Lighting slider to maximum first. If that doesn't help, re-export from your modeling tool with materials embedded and normals recalculated outward.
- Can I export an animation or just a still image?
- Only still PNGs through the Screenshot button. For animated turntables or video output, screen-record the viewer with auto-rotate enabled using OBS, QuickTime, or your OS's built-in recorder, then crop the result.
- How large can the model file be?
- Practical limit is around 50 MB for smooth performance. The whole model loads into your device's GPU memory. Phones and older laptops may stutter beyond 20 MB. For complex models, decimate the mesh in Blender before uploading.
- Does the model get uploaded to your servers?
- No. The file loads directly into the WebGL canvas in memory on your device and never crosses the network. Want proof? Disconnect from the internet and drop a model in — it still loads instantly, because nothing is ever uploaded, logged, or stored outside this page.
