What is 3D Text Creator?

3D Text Creator turns plain text into three-dimensional typography. Set the extrusion depth, materials, colors, and lighting to create 3D text for presentations, social media graphics, or web design mockups.

Type any text and watch it render in real time as an extruded 3D mesh. Adjust the extrusion depth for thicker or thinner letters, enable bevel for rounded edges, and tune metalness and roughness to switch between matte plastic and polished gold. The scene uses three-point studio lighting, and exports as a transparent PNG ready to drop into a thumbnail or banner.

How to use

  1. Type your text and choose a font style, extrusion depth, and bevel settings.
  2. Pick material colors, metalness, and roughness. Adjust the camera angle and scene lighting.
  3. Download the rendered 3D text as a high-resolution PNG image.

When to use

  • Designing YouTube thumbnails where flat text looks weak against busy backgrounds.
  • Mocking up logo concepts with metallic finishes before committing to a 3D modeller.
  • Creating birthday or wedding banners that feel less generic than flat text overlays.

Result

A YouTuber types their channel name 'VLOGLIFE', sets a gold metallic material with 50% roughness, adds a slight bevel, and downloads a transparent-background PNG for their video thumbnail.

FAQ

Which fonts are available?
Three built-in fonts ship with the tool: Helvetiker (clean sans-serif), Optimer (serif), and Gentilis (rounded sans). You can also load your own font — pick any .ttf or .otf file with the Load .ttf / .otf button and it renders in 3D. The file is read on your device and never leaves it.
Why does my text look pixelated when I download it?
The PNG exports at the canvas resolution, which depends on your screen size. For higher resolution, maximize the browser window before clicking Download, or zoom the page to 200% beforehand and screen-record at retina scale.
What does Metalness vs Roughness actually do?
Metalness (0 to 1) controls whether the surface reflects like metal or scatters light like plastic. Roughness (0 to 1) controls how blurry those reflections are. Polished gold is metalness 1, roughness 0.1. Matte plastic is metalness 0, roughness 0.9.
Can I save my settings and come back to them later?
The tool doesn't persist state between visits. Take a screenshot of your control panel values or jot the numbers down. If you reload the page, all sliders reset to their defaults (HELLO in gold metallic with default lighting).
Does it support special characters and non-Latin scripts?
Only characters available in the bundled font. Helvetiker covers basic Latin, numbers, and common punctuation. Chinese, Arabic, Cyrillic, and emoji are not supported because the font files don't include those glyphs.
