What is Anatomy Diagram?

An interactive diagram of the human body with clickable organ systems. Click any region to see its name, function, and location. Useful for studying anatomy or brushing up on the basics.

Seven overlays cover the major organs, the skeletal frame from skull to tibia, the major muscle groups, the central nervous system, the cardiovascular vessels, the airways and lungs, and the digestive tract from mouth to rectum. Each labeled region shows its anatomical name, what it does, and where it sits in the body. Front and back views let you study posterior structures like the kidneys, sciatic nerve, and latissimus dorsi.

How to use

  1. Pick a body system (organs, skeletal, muscular, nervous, cardiovascular, respiratory, or digestive) to load that overlay onto the figure.
  2. Click or tap any labeled region to see the organ name, function, and key facts.
  3. Toggle between front and back views. Download the annotated diagram as an SVG or PNG.

When to use

  • Studying for a nursing, biology, or first-aid exam where you need quick part recall.
  • Explaining a sports injury, surgery, or chronic pain location to a child or non-medical reader.
  • Producing a labeled anatomy figure for a homework slide, lecture handout, or fitness blog.

Result

A nursing student selects the 'Organs' system view, clicks the liver to read about its detoxification function and location, then switches to back view to study kidney placement.

FAQ

Is this medically accurate enough to study from?
The labels match standard anatomy textbooks (Gray's, Tortora) at an introductory level. Position, function, and naming are correct, though the figure is stylized rather than to scale. For board exams or clinical work you still need a proper atlas.
Why don't I see the brain when I switch to the muscular system?
Each system view only shows the parts that belong to that system, so the figure stays readable. The brain belongs to the nervous system, so it appears when you pick Nervous. Switching systems also clears the currently selected region.
Can I download the diagram with my selection highlighted?
Yes. The download exports whatever is currently on screen, so the active system, view, and any highlighted region carry over. Choose PNG for slide decks or SVG if you plan to recolor or resize the figure in Illustrator or Figma.
Does the diagram show male or female anatomy?
The outline is gender-neutral. We focus on structures common to both bodies (bones, muscles, organs, nerves) and leave reproductive anatomy out of this version. Almost everything taught at high-school and intro-physiology level is covered.
Can I use the downloaded image in a school project or YouTube video?
Yes, both personal and classroom use is fine. For a published video, a brief credit such as freeonlinetools.io is appreciated but not required. The figure was drawn for this tool, so there are no third-party royalties to worry about.
