What is Business Card Maker?
Business Card Maker lets you design and print your own business cards. Pick a layout, set your colors, fonts, and details, then download the card as a high-resolution PNG that's ready for the print shop.
Seven preset layouts cover the common styles (Classic, Modern, Minimal, Bold, Corporate, Elegant, Geometric). Each one rearranges the same fields — name, title, company, phone, email, website, address, and social handles — across a standard 3.5 x 2 inch card. Upload a PNG or SVG logo to anchor the front corner, drop a URL or vCard into the QR field to add a scannable code to the back, then download a single PNG, both sides at once, or a print-ready PDF.
How to use
- Enter your contact details — name, title, company, phone, email, and website.
- Choose a layout and customize colors, font sizes, and alignment to match your brand.
- Preview your card, then download it as a high-resolution PNG for printing.
When to use
- Spinning up cards before a conference when there's no time to order printed ones.
- Designing freelance cards without paying for Canva, Vistaprint, or a graphic designer.
- Testing different layouts side by side before committing to a final print run.
Result
A freelance graphic designer creates a minimalist card with her name, portfolio URL, and phone number on a dark background with white text, then downloads it at print resolution.
FAQ
- What size are the cards and will they print correctly?
- Cards use the standard US size, 3.5 x 2 inches. The regular PNG is screen resolution (1050 x 600 pixels); tick Print quality to export a crisp 3150 x 1800 file, a true 300 DPI that most print shops accept directly. For European 85 x 55 mm cards, the same file scales down with no visible quality loss.
- Can I add my own logo and a QR code?
- Yes. Upload a PNG, JPG, WebP, or SVG logo and it lands in the top-right of the front. Add a URL or vCard text to the QR field, or turn on "Encode my contact details as a vCard" so scanning the code drops your name, phone, and email straight into the phone's contacts. The logo and QR both ship inside the PNG download, the both-sides download, and the print-ready PDF.
- Why does the back of my card look different from the front?
- Most layouts treat the back as the simpler side: a centered company name plus an accent block. If you fill in the QR field, that scannable code takes over the back and the company name moves behind it. Toggle the Front and Back buttons to preview each side and download both for double-sided printing.
- Do print shops need a bleed area beyond the card edge?
- Many do — usually 1.75 mm of extra design that gets trimmed off. The exported PNG doesn't include bleed. If your print shop requires it, ask them for a template and recreate your layout within their bleed-safe area.
- Can I save my card and come back to edit it later?
- The current version doesn't auto-save designs, but each layout is deterministic — re-entering the same details with the same layout, colours, and font sizes will reproduce the exact card. Keep a note of your settings if you plan to reprint.
