What is Calendar View?
A free calendar with month, week, and day views. Add color-coded events, export to ICS, and keep your schedule private. No signup needed.
Add events with a title, start and end times, an all-day flag, free-text notes for meeting agendas or locations, and one of several colour tags. Set events to repeat daily, weekly, monthly or yearly with an optional end date. Switch between month, week, day and agenda views, set whether the week starts on Sunday or Monday, drag events around to reschedule, and import or export .ics files to round-trip with Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar. Reminders pop as desktop notifications five minutes to a day before each event.
How to use
- Choose between month, week, day, or agenda view using the toggle buttons.
- Click on any date or time slot to add a new event with a title and color.
- Import .ics files from Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar, or export your local events back out, to round-trip your schedule between devices.
When to use
- Sketching a project timeline with colour-coded milestones before sharing the dates with the team.
- Tracking personal appointments quietly without signing in to a cloud calendar account.
- Drafting a week of study or workout sessions, then exporting the .ics to your phone calendar.
Result
Planning a project timeline — switch to weekly view, add milestone events on key dates with different colors, then export the ICS file to share with your team.
FAQ
- Do my events sync between my laptop and phone?
- No, the calendar saves events to this device's local storage only. To use them elsewhere, export the .ics file and import it into a sync-capable calendar like Google or iCloud. Treat this as a planning sandbox.
- Will my events disappear if I clear my saved site data?
- Yes. Clearing cookies and site data, switching devices or using private mode wipes the stored events. Before any cleanup, hit Export ICS so you keep a portable backup that any calendar app can re-import.
- Do reminders work if I close this page?
- Reminders only fire while a tab with the calendar is open and notifications are granted. For reminders that survive a closed laptop, export the .ics into a system calendar that has its own background notifier.
- What ICS format quirks should I know about when importing into Google Calendar?
- The export uses standard VEVENT entries with UTC timestamps and a VALARM block for reminders. Most calendars accept it directly. Google may take a few minutes to show imported events and skips duplicates by UID, so re-importing is safe.
- Can I have multiple calendars or share events with someone else?
- There's one local calendar per device. To share, export the .ics and send it to the other person, or use a real shared-calendar service. For separate projects, switch event colours rather than running separate calendars.
