What is Event Planner?
Event Planner helps you organize any event, whether it's a birthday party or a corporate meeting. Add tasks with deadlines, track your budget, and manage your guest count all in one place.
Each event lives in your own storage and rebuilds on the next visit. Add tasks with deadlines and categories, log expenses against a budget, keep an RSVP list with Yes/No/Pending status, and copy a plain-text summary into email or chat. Nothing uploads — close the tab and the data is still there next time.
How to use
- Create a new event by entering the name, date, location, and expected guest count.
- Add tasks with deadlines and categories (venue, catering, decorations, invitations) and mark them complete as you go.
- Track your budget by adding expense items, and view a summary showing total spent vs. budget remaining.
When to use
- Coordinating a wedding or birthday with venue, catering, and decoration deadlines.
- Running a work offsite where 30+ RSVPs and a fixed budget need tracking.
- Planning a small dinner where you want one place for guest list and grocery costs.
Result
Planning a 50-person office holiday party: set Dec 20 as the date, add tasks like "Book venue by Nov 15" and "Order catering by Dec 1", and track the $2,000 budget with $800 for food, $400 for decorations.
FAQ
- Does the planner keep my event after I close the tab?
- Yes. Tasks, expenses, guest list, and budget are saved on this device every time you change something. Reopen the page on the same device and everything is back. On a different device you start fresh.
- Can I share the plan with my co-organiser?
- Use the copy summary button to grab a plain-text version of the event (date, tasks, expenses, budget remaining) and paste it into email, WhatsApp, or a shared doc. There's no live multi-user sync.
- What happens when I go over budget?
- The remaining amount turns negative and the budget bar shows the overrun in red. The planner won't block new expenses — it just makes the overspend visible so you can decide what to cut.
- Can I plan more than one event at a time?
- The current version stores one active event. To switch, reset the planner and start a new one. If you need to keep an old plan, copy the summary text out before resetting.
- How do RSVPs work?
- Add a guest by name and the default status is Pending. Cycle through Yes, No, and back to Pending as replies come in. The counter at the top updates so you can see attending numbers without scrolling.
