What is Label Maker?
Design custom labels for products, shipping, or organization. Set dimensions, add text lines with custom fonts and sizes, choose border styles, and download print-ready PDF sheets with multiple labels per page.
Presets cover Avery 5160 address labels, 4×6 shipping, 2×3 product labels, six more Avery sheet codes, and a custom mode for any size in inches or millimeters. Each line picks its own font (Sans, Serif, Mono, Rounded), size, weight, italic, and alignment. Add a logo, a QR code, or a linear barcode (CODE 128 or EAN-13) and the layout reshuffles around them. Export the whole sheet as a print-ready PDF, or grab a single label as a PNG for product listings and slides.
How to use
- Choose your label size from common presets (address, shipping, product) or enter custom dimensions in inches or millimeters.
- Add text lines, adjust font size, alignment, and style. Optionally add a border and set the number of labels per sheet.
- Click 'Generate PDF' to create a print-ready PDF with your labels arranged on the page, then download it.
When to use
- Printing batches of address labels for holiday cards or a small mailing campaign.
- Labeling homemade jars, candles, or soaps with consistent branding for a market stall.
- Producing file folder labels or storage bin tags for a home or office organization project.
Result
You're labeling 50 jars of homemade jam for a farmers market. You select a 2×3 inch label, type 'Strawberry Preserves' in bold 14pt and 'Made with love — June 2026' in italic 10pt, add a thin border, and generate a PDF with 10 labels per page.
FAQ
- Will my labels line up with my Avery sheets?
- Pick the matching preset — the 2.625×1 inch size lines up with Avery 5160 sheets, and the 4×6 with shipping label sheets. If you use a non-Avery brand, measure one label and enter the size in the custom mode for an exact match.
- Can I add an image or logo to the label?
- Yes — upload a PNG or JPG (up to 4 MB) and it prints above the text on every label. You can also pair it with a QR code or a CODE 128 / EAN-13 barcode in the panel below.
- Why does my printed label come out smaller than the on-screen preview?
- Most browsers default to 'fit to page' which shrinks the PDF. In the print dialog choose 'Actual size' or 100% scaling and disable any 'fit to printable area' option. The PDF is generated at exact physical dimensions in points.
- What font is used and can I change it?
- Each text line gets its own font: pick Sans, Serif, Mono, or Rounded from the dropdown next to the font-size box. The PDF embeds the matching typeface (Helvetica for Sans and Rounded, Times for Serif, Courier for Mono) so the result renders the same on any printer. Non-Latin text (Arabic, Chinese, Hindi, etc.) is rasterised with the matching Noto face for correct glyph shaping.
- How many labels can I fit per page?
- It depends on label size. 10 per page is typical for address sheets, 6 for 4×6 shipping, and 30 for small 1×2 inch product labels. The labels-per-page slider caps at what physically fits on a US letter page with standard margins.
