What is PDF Form Filler?

Open any PDF form and fill in text fields, checkboxes, and dropdowns right on your device. Form fields are detected automatically so you can type, check, and select. Download the completed PDF with your entries embedded — no printing or scanning needed.

The tool parses the PDF's AcroForm structure and lists every text field, checkbox, and dropdown it finds. You type values into a sidebar, tab between fields, and the filled values are written back into the PDF object stream — so recipients open a normal PDF with real form data, not a flattened image of your handwriting.

How to use

  1. Upload a PDF form (tax forms, applications, contracts, etc.). The tool detects and highlights all fillable fields.
  2. Click on any highlighted field to enter text, check boxes, or select dropdown options. Tab between fields for quick navigation.
  3. Preview the completed form, then download the filled PDF. Your entries are embedded in the PDF — recipients see them as native content.

When to use

  • Submitting tax forms like W-9 or 1040 without printing, signing, and scanning.
  • Returning vendor onboarding paperwork that arrives as a fillable PDF.
  • Completing rental, school, or visa application forms from a phone or tablet.

Result

Upload a W-9 tax form PDF: click the 'Name' field and type your full name, fill in your address, check the 'Individual' box, enter your SSN, then download the completed W-9 ready to submit.

FAQ

What happens if my PDF has no fillable fields?
The tool tells you no fields were detected — usually because the PDF was scanned or flattened. You can still complete it with Add Text and Sign on the preview: click anywhere on the page to drop text boxes or place your drawn signature, then download a PDF that bakes those marks in as page content.
Can I save my progress and finish filling the form later?
Yes. Use Save Progress to download a small JSON sidecar with your current field values and any text or signature annotations. Re-upload the same PDF later, then use Load Progress to restore everything and keep filling. The sidecar is plain JSON, kept on your device — nothing is uploaded.
Are checkboxes and radio buttons supported, not just text?
Yes. The tool detects checkbox groups, dropdown menus, and radio button groups in addition to text fields. Required fields are tagged so you can see what's still empty before downloading.
Will the recipient know I filled the form digitally?
The output PDF behaves like a normal completed form — fields contain real text, not images. Recipients can copy values out, search them, and process them automatically. Some employers prefer this over scanned handwriting.
Does this work for signed legal contracts that need a signature?
You can add a drawn or typed signature image to any page from the Sign menu, then drag, resize, and download a PDF with the signature baked in. This is great for visual signatures on internal documents, but it is not a cryptographic e-signature with audit trail — for binding contracts that require legal proof of identity, use a dedicated signing service.
