What is Photo Collage Maker?
This tool arranges your photos into a collage: pick a grid layout, drop in pictures, adjust spacing and corner rounding, then export a high-resolution image. Photos never upload anywhere; the whole collage is composed privately on your device. Layouts include the classic 2×2 grid, single-row strips, and offset mosaics.
Layouts hold between two and twelve photos, split across even grids, offset mosaics, and single-row strips. Output presets cover 1:1 at 1080 or 2048 px, 4:5 portrait, 9:16 stories, 16:9 and 4:3. Each photo can be nudged and zoomed inside its cell, and the finished canvas exports as PNG or JPEG.
How to use
- Choose a layout: even grids, single-row strips, or offset mosaics for 2 to 12 photos.
- Add your photos, then drag to swap positions and pinch or scroll to reframe within each cell.
- Tune spacing, corner radius, and background color, then download the collage as PNG or JPEG.
When to use
- Building a nine-photo holiday recap for a story post without a phone app.
- Putting before-and-after shots side by side for a renovation write-up.
- Making a printable 4:3 photo board for a wedding or a memorial table.
Result
After a birthday party, pick the 3×3 mosaic, drop in nine phone photos, set white spacing to 8 px with rounded corners, and export a 2048 px square collage ready for Instagram.
FAQ
- Does exporting at 2048 px make my photos look sharper than the preview?
- The preview is a scaled-down copy of the same canvas, so nothing is lost by working small. Sharpness comes from the source photos: a 900 px image stretched into a large cell will still look soft at 2048.
- Why do the spacing and corner sliders look different at each output size?
- Both are authored against a 1080 px canvas and scale with the export, so 8 px of spacing stays the same share of the frame whether you output a 1080 square or a 1920 wide banner.
- What happens to photos that are a different shape from their cell?
- They are cropped to fill rather than squashed, and you drag or scroll inside the cell to choose which part survives. A tall portrait in a wide slot usually needs one nudge to center a face.
