What is To-Do List?

A no-frills to-do list for jotting down tasks and ticking them off as you go. Everything saves to your device's local storage, so your list is still there next time — no account needed.

Each task can carry an optional priority flag (low, medium, high), a due date, free-form notes, and a checklist of subtasks for breaking a bigger job into steps. Star the ones that matter and they float to the top of any sort order. Keep separate named lists for work, shopping, and personal so the contexts never bleed together, set a task to repeat daily, weekly, or monthly and it respawns with the next date the moment you tick it off, and the search box finds anything by keyword in a long list. Overdue items still get a red marker, and the whole list lives in your device's local storage, so it survives refreshes — export the lot as TXT, CSV, or a printable PDF whenever you need it elsewhere.

How to use

  1. Type a task in the input field and press Enter or tap Add to create it.
  2. Click the checkbox to mark a task as complete — it moves to the done section.
  3. Drag to reorder tasks, or tap the delete icon to remove one permanently.

When to use

  • Capturing tasks for the day without committing to a heavy app like Asana or Todoist.
  • Tracking groceries, packing lists, or small home projects with due dates and priorities.
  • Building a quick checklist before a meeting and exporting the agenda as a PDF afterwards.

Result

FAQ

Are my tasks saved if I close this tab?
Yes. The list is written to your device's localStorage every time you change something. Closing the tab, quitting the app, or shutting your computer all leave the data intact. Clearing this site's data from your settings is what actually deletes it.
Will my tasks sync between my phone and laptop?
No. Tasks live on the device where you added them. There's no account, no cloud, and nothing is uploaded. Use the CSV or TXT export and reimport on the other device if you need to move a list across.
How do I print my list or send it to someone?
Use Export PDF to generate a clean printable document with priorities and due dates as coloured badges. CSV is better if the recipient wants to sort or edit in Excel or Google Sheets. TXT works for pasting into chat or email.
What counts as 'overdue'?
Any task whose due date is earlier than today's date and that isn't ticked off yet. Once you mark it complete, it stops being flagged as overdue even if the date is in the past, so the badge only nags about things still pending.
Is there a limit to how many tasks I can add?
Practically a few thousand before the localStorage quota (typically 5 MB) starts to bite. For a daily personal list that's effectively infinite. If you're approaching the limit, clearing completed items reclaims most of the space.
