What is Post Mockup Generator?

Post Mockup Generator creates realistic-looking social media post screenshots for Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Threads, and TikTok. Set your own text, profile picture, engagement stats, and timestamp, then export as PNG.

Each platform layout matches what users actually see: avatar size, verified badge placement, like-comment-share row, and the typography Twitter or Instagram uses for handles and timestamps. You can swap the avatar with a PNG of your client's logo, paste a real post image, toggle dark mode for Instagram, switch Instagram and Facebook to a vertical 9:16 Story frame, render a TikTok-style caption overlay, and edit every count — useful when you want a mockup that looks indistinguishable from a screenshot.

How to use

  1. Select a social media platform — Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Threads, or TikTok — to start with its layout.
  2. Customize the post content, username, profile picture, timestamp, and engagement numbers (likes, comments, shares).
  3. Download the mockup as a PNG image that looks like a real social media screenshot.

When to use

  • Pitching a social media campaign so the client can see the post in context.
  • Designing a blog post or case study that shows a hypothetical Twitter or LinkedIn quote.
  • Building a brand guidelines deck that demonstrates how copy should look across platforms.

Result

You're pitching a social media campaign to a client and want to show how the posts would look. Select Twitter/X, type the proposed tweet, set the brand's handle and profile picture, add realistic engagement numbers, and export — a convincing mockup for your presentation deck.

FAQ

Does this generate real social posts on Twitter, Instagram, or LinkedIn?
No. The output is a flat PNG image that imitates the platform's UI. Nothing is posted, no account is contacted, and the image only exists as a download for use in mockups, presentations, or articles.
Why doesn't my avatar look as round as in the real app?
The generator centre-crops uploaded avatars into the circle each platform uses. If the original image is rectangular, the corners get cut. Crop your image to a square first or pick a photo where the subject is centred.
Can I add the blue verified checkmark?
Yes — toggle the Verified Badge option. Keep in mind that real verification on most platforms requires payment or institutional approval, so use the badge honestly: brand mockups for a verified client, or fiction.
Which platforms are supported and what does each layout look like?
Twitter/X (compact text + reply row), Instagram (square image + like-comment-bookmark icons), Facebook (card with reactions), LinkedIn (post + reactions + comment count), Threads (monochrome action icons), and TikTok (vertical video frame with a right-side action rail). Instagram and Facebook also offer a vertical 9:16 Story layout. Each one uses that platform's font stack and spacing.
Is it legal to use a fake post that mentions a real brand?
For internal pitches, satire, or editorial commentary, mostly yes. But never present a mocked post as a real screenshot in news, advertising, or anywhere a reader could mistake it for an authentic statement by the named brand or person.
