What is Profile Picture Maker?

Profile Picture Maker helps you create perfectly sized profile photos for any platform. Crop your image to a circle, adjust the zoom and position, then export at the right dimensions. Your photos never leave your device.

Drag, zoom, and reposition the image inside a circle, square, rounded-square, or hexagon frame. Pick a custom output size or one of the platform presets — LinkedIn 400px, Discord 256, GitHub 460, YouTube 800, TikTok 200. You can also adjust grayscale, sepia, saturation, brightness, contrast, and blur, add a solid background fill, and finish with a solid, ring, or double-ring border.

How to use

  1. Step 1 — Upload a photo from your device or drag and drop it into the tool.
  2. Step 2 — Adjust the circular crop area by dragging and zooming to frame your subject.
  3. Step 3 — Choose an output size (128px, 256px, or 512px) and download the cropped profile picture.

When to use

  • Cropping a casual photo into a clean headshot for LinkedIn or GitHub.
  • Resizing a square photo to fit a circular avatar without odd cropping.
  • Matching multiple platform avatars to a single source photo at different sizes.

Result

You upload a group photo from a party, zoom into your face, adjust the circle crop, and download a 256x256 pixel profile picture ready for your social accounts.

FAQ

What image formats can I upload?
PNG, JPEG, WebP, and GIF up to 20 MB. For best output, start with a photo at least twice the size you plan to export so resizing stays crisp.
Does the tool support transparent backgrounds for circular avatars?
Yes. If you choose the circle crop and leave the background fill disabled, the area outside the circle exports as transparent. The download is a PNG, which preserves that transparency.
Which size should I pick for which platform?
LinkedIn and Twitter both work well at 400×400, Instagram and Facebook at 320, Discord at 256, GitHub at 460, YouTube at 800, Slack at 512, and TikTok at 200. The presets set these for you with a single click.
Will the filters degrade my photo's quality?
Filters such as grayscale, sepia, saturation, brightness, contrast, and blur modify pixel values but don't add compression artefacts. The export uses lossless PNG, so what you see in the preview matches the downloaded file.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. The image stays in your device's memory while you work and is only written to disk when you press download. Closing the tab discards it entirely.
