What is Quote/Estimate Generator?

Create business quotes and estimates with line items, taxes, and discounts. Fill in your company and client details, add products or services, and generate a PDF you can send right away.

Add an unlimited number of line items, each with a description, quantity, and unit price; subtotals, tax, and any discount you enter roll up into a grand total automatically. Upload a company logo at the top, set a quote number, an issue date and a Valid Until date, and include payment terms in the footer. The PDF exports with the same formatting you see on screen — ready to attach to an email.

How to use

  1. Enter your company name, logo, and contact info at the top, then fill in the client's name and address in the recipient section.
  2. Add line items with descriptions, quantities, and unit prices. Set tax rate and optional discount — totals calculate automatically.
  3. Add a validity date and terms & conditions, then download your quote as a PDF.

When to use

  • Sending a freelance designer's project quote with logo, items, and tax in one PDF.
  • Pricing a contractor job — labour hours, materials, and a 10% deposit clause in the terms.
  • Issuing a small-business estimate to a corporate client who needs it on letterhead, not a Google Doc.

Result

A freelance designer creates a project estimate with 3 line items (logo design $500, brand guide $300, social kit $200), applies 5% tax, and downloads the PDF to email to the client.

FAQ

Is this an invoice or a quote, and does it matter?
It's a quote (also called an estimate or proposal) — a price you offer before work starts, valid until a date you set. An invoice is a bill issued after work is delivered. Tax authorities treat them differently, so don't use a quote to collect payment.
Does it save my quote so I can come back and edit it later?
Yes. Your quote is saved on this device as you work, so if you close the tab and come back the tool offers to restore your last draft. For a permanent copy, download the PDF. Nothing is sent to a server — the draft stays only on your device, and Reset clears it.
Does it calculate tax correctly for my country (VAT, GST, sales tax)?
The tax field is a flat percentage applied to the subtotal after any discount. That works for most VAT, GST, and US state sales tax setups. For mixed rates or reverse-charge VAT, calculate manually and enter the final percentage, or add the tax as a separate line item.
Can I use my own currency symbol?
Yes — the currency is set by your locale and the symbol changes automatically (e.g. $, €, £, ¥, ر.س). Numbers are formatted using your locale's conventions for thousands separators and decimal points.
Is the PDF print-ready or just for screen viewing?
The PDF is generated at standard letter-size with vector text, so it prints crisply on any printer. Logos render at the upload resolution — use a 300 DPI PNG or an SVG if you plan to print the quote for a client meeting.
