What is Screenshot Beautifier?

Screenshot Beautifier wraps your screenshots in gradient backgrounds, drop shadows, rounded corners, and padding. The result looks clean enough for presentations, portfolios, or social posts.

Pick from twelve gradient presets (Sunset, Ocean, Purple, Emerald, Rose, and more), a solid color, or a transparent background. Wrap the screenshot in a Window, MacBook, iPhone, or iPad frame for a finished mockup look. Set a target canvas size for Twitter, Instagram, Product Hunt, or Story aspect ratios, or leave it on Auto. Shadow goes from 0 to 100 pixels, corner radius up to 48, and padding from 16 to 128. Export at 1x, 2x, or 3x scale as PNG, JPG, or WebP, or copy the image straight to the clipboard for pasting into Slack, Notion, or a doc. Add a short caption above or below the frame in any colour for launch posts and slides. Tint the drop shadow any colour for a glow that matches your gradient, and swap in a new screenshot with Replace without losing your style. To share a screenshot safely, drag over any passwords, emails, or private details to pixelate or blur them before you export. Everything stays on your device.

How to use

  1. Upload or paste a screenshot — PNG, JPG, or WebP formats are supported.
  2. Customize the look: choose a gradient background, adjust shadow depth, set corner radius, and add padding around the image. Drag over any sensitive details to pixelate or blur them, and pick a shadow colour to match.
  3. Download the beautified image as PNG, JPG, or WebP at your chosen resolution — ready for sharing or embedding.

When to use

  • Polishing app screenshots for a Dribbble or Behance portfolio so they don't look raw.
  • Wrapping product UI in a gradient before posting to Twitter, LinkedIn, or a launch page.
  • Preparing dashboard images for a slide deck where flat screenshots feel out of place.

Result

You have a plain screenshot of your app's dashboard for a portfolio. Upload it, select the purple-blue gradient, add a 20px shadow with 16px rounded corners, and download — the result looks like a professional product mockup.

FAQ

Can I paste a screenshot directly instead of uploading?
Yes. Copy any image to your clipboard (Cmd+Shift+4 on macOS, Win+Shift+S on Windows) and paste it onto the page with Cmd/Ctrl+V. The image loads instantly without going through the file picker.
Does the export keep transparency around the rounded corners?
Yes when you choose the transparent background option. The PNG file ships with alpha so the rounded corners and shadow blend cleanly over any slide colour or webpage. Solid and gradient backgrounds bake the colour in. JPG and WebP exports are flattened, so pick PNG whenever you need the transparency to carry through.
What does the export scale (1x, 2x, 3x) actually change?
It multiplies the output resolution. A 1200 by 800 input at 3x becomes 3600 by 2400. Higher scales matter when you'll display the image on Retina laptops or 4K monitors, since 1x can look slightly soft.
Will huge screenshots slow down the preview?
The canvas downsamples for the live preview but uses the full source resolution at export time. A 4K input behaves the same as a 1080p one for editing speed, then exports at the size you'd expect.
Why does my gradient look banded on certain monitors?
Some older 6-bit displays show visible bands across smooth gradients. The PNG export itself is 8-bit per channel and looks fine on most screens. If you see banding, try a darker preset like Slate where the transition is less obvious.
