What is Shoe Size Converter?

Convert shoe sizes between US, UK, European, and centimeter scales. Covers both men's and women's sizes so you can shop across regions and know exactly what to order.

Switch between men's, women's, and kids' tables, then type a size in any of the ten systems — US, UK, European numeric (38–50), Australian, Chinese, Mexican, Brazilian, centimetres of foot length, Japanese Mondopoint in millimetres, or Korean millimetres. The other nine values populate immediately. You can also enter a measured foot length in cm or inches and the tool jumps to the closest size. The full chart sits below for download as CSV when you want to keep a reference. The data follows Brannock-style increments common in mainstream sneaker and dress-shoe sizing.

How to use

  1. Select whether you need men's or women's sizing from the toggle at the top.
  2. Enter your known shoe size and select its system (US, UK, EU, or CM).
  3. View the equivalent sizes in all other systems displayed instantly below.

When to use

  • Buying sneakers from a European brand when your home country lists US sizes only.
  • Reselling shoes on cross-border marketplaces where listings expect EU and UK sizes.
  • Measuring a child's foot in centimetres and translating it to a number to ask for in store.

Result

You're buying sneakers from a European website and wear US Men's size 10. Enter '10' under US, and the converter shows EU 43, UK 9, and 28 cm — so you order size 43.

FAQ

Why do some brands fit differently even at the same converted size?
Brands use their own lasts (foot moulds) so a Nike 10 US may not feel the same as an Adidas 10 US. The converter shows the standard equivalence; for snug fits like running shoes, check brand-specific size guides.
Is the centimetre value my actual foot length or the inside of the shoe?
It refers to foot length, measured from heel to longest toe. Shoes usually have 5–10 mm of extra space, so the inside of the shoe will be slightly longer than the cm number shown.
Do women's sizes really differ from men's by 1.5 in the US system?
Yes. A US Men's 8 is typically a US Women's 9.5 because the two scales start at different baseline lengths. The converter handles this offset automatically when you toggle gender.
Why are some EU values written as 38.5 or 42.5?
The Paris point system used in EU sizing increments in 2/3 of a centimetre, which produces half-numbers when mapped to US half-sizes. The half-size in EU is a real, slightly wider step.
Does the converter work for kids' shoes?
Yes. Switch the category to Kids to see toddler (4C–13C) and youth (1Y–7Y) US sizes mapped to UK, EU, CM, JP, and KR. Children's feet grow fast, so re-measure every few months and add roughly 1 cm of growth room when buying.
