What is Fortune Cookie?

Fortune Cookie gives you a random fortune, bit of wisdom, or funny prediction each time you crack one open. Save your favorites and share them with friends.

The pool holds roughly 120 fortunes per language: a mix of classic restaurant-cookie wisdom, modern internet humour, life advice, and the odd philosophical observation. Each crack also picks six lucky numbers from 1 to 49 the way many state lotteries do, plus a lucky colour to round out the reading. The fortune list is locale-aware, so Japanese players see Japanese-style fortunes rather than English translations, and any fortune you love can be saved with the heart so it is waiting for you next visit.

How to use

  1. Click the fortune cookie to crack it open and reveal your fortune message.
  2. Read your fortune — it could be wisdom, a prediction, humor, or life advice.
  3. Crack another cookie for a new fortune, save your favorite as an image to keep, or hit Share to send it straight to a friend.

When to use

  • Adding a daily ritual to your morning coffee or work-from-home routine.
  • Breaking a creative block by reading a random one-line prompt to react to.
  • Picking lottery numbers when you can't decide which six to fill in on the ticket.

Result

Crack a cookie to reveal: 'A pleasant surprise is waiting for you around the next corner.' Lucky numbers: 7, 14, 23, 38, 42.

FAQ

Are the fortunes real or just made up for the page?
They are curated for the site, blending traditional Chinese-American fortune cookie sayings, motivational lines, and some lighter humour. None of them is a personal prediction; treat them like horoscopes for entertainment, not as guidance.
Why do the lucky numbers always fall between 1 and 49?
Most national lotteries (UK Lotto, EuroMillions main pool, Lotto 6aus49, and others) draw six numbers from a 1 to 49 range. The generator uses the same range so the numbers are actually usable on a real ticket without any conversion.
Will I ever get the same fortune twice in a row?
Not in two consecutive cracks. The generator remembers the last fortune shown and skips it on the next draw, so you always see a different message back-to-back. Over many cracks repeats are eventually inevitable because the pool is finite.
Does the fortune change with the page language?
Yes. Each supported language has its own pool of fortunes written in that language rather than machine-translated. Japanese players see Japanese phrasing, Arabic players see Arabic sayings, and so on, so the rhythm and humour land naturally.
Can I save or share a fortune I liked?
Three ways. Tap the heart to save a fortune to your favourites — it stays on this device and is waiting in the saved list when you come back. The Save as image button exports the fortune and its lucky numbers as a square PNG you can post anywhere or keep in your photos. The Share button opens the native share sheet on phones (WhatsApp, iMessage, Instagram, anything you have installed) and falls back to a plain clipboard copy on desktop, so the text is ready to paste.
