What is Neon Text Effect?

Type your text, pick a neon color, adjust the glow, and download the result as a PNG or scalable SVG. Start from a quick-style preset, then fine-tune the color, font, glow, letter spacing, and background. Good for social media graphics, event flyers, or signage.

The preview uses CSS text-shadow stacks to fake the bloom in real time, while the export is rendered either as a 1200x630 PNG (layered Gaussian blurs through Canvas for a print-grade glow) or a scalable SVG that recreates the glow with feGaussianBlur filters so it stays crisp at any size. Quick-style presets give you a great starting point in one click; from there, solid neon colors or a two-stop gradient at any angle, six font styles, left/center/right alignment, multi-line text with a line-height slider, and letter spacing cover everything from a tight arcade sign to a wide vaporwave billboard.

How to use

  1. Type your text in the input field — the neon preview updates in real time.
  2. Customize the look: pick a neon color (pink, blue, green, etc.), adjust glow intensity, and choose a font style.
  3. Download your neon text as a PNG image, or grab a scalable SVG to drop straight into Figma or Illustrator.

When to use

  • Making an Instagram story headline or YouTube thumbnail stand out in the feed.
  • Designing a club flyer, event poster, or quick gig banner.
  • Adding a glowing title slate to a video edit or stream overlay.

Result

A DJ creating a flyer types 'FRIDAY NIGHT' in the input, selects hot pink neon with high glow intensity on a dark background. The preview shows a vivid glowing sign effect. They download the PNG and drop it into their event poster design.

FAQ

What size is the downloaded image?
1200 by 630 pixels with the dark background built in. That's the standard Open Graph and Twitter card size, so the same file works well for social previews, blog hero images, and presentation slides.
Can I use the result for commercial work?
Yes. You wrote the text and the canvas is generated locally, so the PNG is yours to use. The fonts are stock system fonts (Arial, Georgia, Courier New, Impact, Brush Script) which are licensed for general use on most operating systems.
Why does my text look cut off in the preview?
Very long phrases get squeezed to fit the 1200x630 canvas. Pull the Text Size slider down so the whole phrase has room, or press Enter in the text box to break it across two or more lines — then use the Line Height slider to set the spacing between them.
Can I change the background color?
Yes. Pick one of six dark preset backdrops, choose any custom color, or switch the background to Transparent and the PNG exports with no backdrop at all — handy for dropping the neon text straight into your own design.
Does it support emoji or non-Latin characters?
Yes, anything your system can render: Chinese, Arabic, Cyrillic, Devanagari, even emoji. The handwritten font may not include every script, in which case a system fallback is used instead. Try Sans Serif or Monospace for full coverage.
