What is Spinner Wheel?

Spinner Wheel is a customizable prize wheel that picks a random option with a spin animation. Add your own entries, assign colors, and spin to decide. Use it for classroom activities, game nights, giveaways, or any quick random pick.

Add up to dozens of entries; the wheel auto-assigns segment colours from a 12-colour palette. Each spin runs a weighted-random selection with a smooth deceleration animation, so the outcome feels real rather than rigged. A 'Remove Winner' toggle drops the previous winner from the wheel — useful for raffles and elimination rounds.

How to use

  1. Add entries to the wheel — type names, options, or prizes. Each gets a color-coded segment.
  2. Click Spin to start the wheel. Watch the animation and see where it lands — the winner is highlighted.
  3. Optionally remove winners after each spin for elimination rounds, or keep all entries for repeated spins.

When to use

  • Picking which kid presents next so nobody argues about turn order.
  • Drawing a raffle winner during a Zoom call where everyone needs to see it's fair.
  • Deciding the next lunch spot when a team can't agree between five options.

Result

Your team can't decide where to eat lunch. Add 'Pizza', 'Sushi', 'Tacos', 'Burgers', and 'Thai' to the wheel. Spin it — the wheel lands on Tacos. Decision made!

FAQ

Is the result actually random, or does it follow a pattern?
Each spin calls the browser's random number generator before the animation starts, then tweens the wheel to land on the chosen segment. The animation is decorative — the result was already decided, so longer or shorter spins don't change the odds.
How many entries can the wheel hold before segments get unreadable?
Up to about 30 entries stay readable; beyond that the labels overlap on smaller screens. If you need a bigger raffle, sub-divide your list and run multiple spins instead of cramming it all into one wheel.
What does the Remove Winner option do?
When enabled, the winning entry is taken off the wheel after each spin. It turns the tool into an elimination-style picker — handy for door prizes, secret-Santa draws, or any time you don't want the same name to win twice in a row.
Can I weight some entries to win more often?
Not directly. Each entry is one equal segment. To weight an option, add it multiple times — e.g. 'Alice', 'Alice', 'Bob' gives Alice a 2-in-3 chance. The wheel happily handles duplicate labels.
Will my entries still be there after I close the tab?
Yes. Your entries, spin history, and settings (sound and spin duration) are saved locally on this device, so the same list is waiting for you next visit. Hit Reset Wheel to go back to the default options, or clear the site data to wipe everything — nothing is ever sent to a server.
